Share a single Internet Connection: By sharing one internet connection, you can simultaneously surf the web on your computer while another network member checks his/her e-mail on a different computer. Sharing an internet connection allows multiple users to be online and not need to have more than one account with your ISP.

Share a printer and other computer hardware: You may have a printer that is connected to a Computer in only one area.  With Home or office Networking, you can access the printer from all of the other computers and print your documents without the need to copy your file onto a disk and interrupt the user on the computer to print.

Share files and folders: You will be able to exchange files, documents and images from one computer to another. This saves on storage and allows files accessed by many network members to be on one computer rather than having copies on all of the computers. If the file changes you don't need to duplicate the copies of that file...it is done automatically.

Dispense with cumbersome floppy disks: There is no longer a need to copy a file into a floppy disk for transfer to another computer. Large files and folders do not need to be 'zipped' into numerous floppy disks before they can be transferred to another computer. All file transfers can be done through the network at very high speeds.

Play network games: Family members can play games on separate computers with each other or with others on the Internet. What a great way to interact with one another.
